I got my hands on the Oraimo Tempo W3 smartwatch today and have handled it quite a bit. As usual, I thought you’d find an unboxing and hands-on review of the device interesting, so here it is.
I am no stranger to Oraimo wearables. I have used two of them before now, and the Tempo W3 makes it my third romance with a wearable for the brand. Oraimo has carved a niche for itself as a brand for mobile phone accessories in markets in Africa and Asia. Their products include smart bands, smartwatches, power banks, cables, and others.
Besides Oraimo smart bands and watches, I have also owned and reviewed Oraimo power banks. As a matter of fact, my current power bank is the Oraimo Toast 10 PD with 18W fast charging. At this point, perhaps you could also call me Mister Oraimo.
But let’s get to business and have a quick look at the specs of the Oraimo Tempo W3 before I talk about my initial experience with the watch.

- Watch Size: 47x47x12.5 mm
- Strap Size: 215mm
- Material: Zinc Alloy/PC/TPU
- Protection: IP68 Waterproof
- Bluetooth Version: V5.0
- Battery Type and Capacity: Li-Poly 200 mAh
Seeing as I am coming from the Tempo S to this model, I can spot the differences in the specs immediately. There is a 20mAh improvement in battery capacity. The IP rating is also up from 1P67 to IP68, Bluetooth version is up from 4.2 to 5.0, screen type has changed from TFT to IPS, and the dimensions are different too. While the screen size (in diagonals) is smaller for the W3, because it has a rounded face, the watch is bigger. Lastly, the materials used are more premium here – there is Zinc alloy on the Tempo W3.

Oraimo Tempo W3 unboxing and first impressions
Opening the box and seeing it, Oraimo Tempo W3 is an impressive sight to behold. In every way, it looks like a more advanced smartwatch – and it is, as we have seen from the specs.
Besides the watch itself, the only other items in the box were a welcome guide and the charging cable. This time, the cable is a better implementation. It is has a USB port at one end to plug into any regular charging head or power bank, and at the other end is a magnetic connector that fixes to the charging dock. It works so well: it won’t attach if you have the pins wrongly positioned, but if properly positioned, the magnets pull it and hold it firmly for charging. Nice touch.
I am itching to testing the IP68 rating. I will like to see whether it will survive in depths of up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. The Tempo S did well under the shower for the full year that I used it.
As far as first impressions go, Oraimo Tempo W3 has impressed me. I like it. I almost immediately do not like the Tempo S any more. 😂 We human beings are something else; aren’t we? Even though I recommended Tempo S to a friend and she’s been using it for about 2 months now, my experience with Oraimo freepods 2 pro left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and I almost swore off it. But as Samo the Wildcard says, it’s finger crossing.

I got the Oraimo Tempo w3 in February, everything seems fine until this week, the default face which is my favourite and minimizes battery disappeared, no more dial on the watch, the touch screen stopped working, apart from checking time, i can’t enjoy any function on the watch again… its so disappointing because i brag a lot about Oraimo and so many of my friends bought it because of the vote of confidence from me, i don’t know what to do.
