From my 20+ years’ experience using and reviewing mobile phones, my informed opinion is that to get painless use of an Android smartphone, it needs to be fitted with nothing less than 3 GB RAM. But itel phones with 3GB RAM are extremely rare. Why? By design, itel phones are entry-level smartphones designed for those looking for cheap and affordable low-cost phones. As such, they mostly have 1GB or 2GB RAM.
However, there is a small set of itel smartphones that do have 3GB RAM, which means you get a user experience that is mostly devoid of lags, pauses and freezes. RAM is a kind of memory that is used to launch and run apps. The more RAM a computing device has, the better it is at running apps and multi-tasking. Listed and described below are the available itel phones with 3GB RAM.
itel phones with 3GB RAM: itel S41
If there are no loopholes in my records, the itel S41 was the first itel smartphone with 3 GB RAM. It was released in September 2017, ran Android 7, had 16 GB built-in storage, and like all the other itel smartphones with 3 GB RAM, it offered 4G LTE network support.

In the year 2018, itel Mobile followed the S41 up with itel S42. The S42 has a unique place in itel’s archives. It is not just one of the few itel phones with 3 GB RAM, it is also one of the rare itel phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, it ran Android 8, had 16 GB built-in storage, and offered 4G LTE. In my opinion, it was also one of the best looking itel smartphones of its time.
itel phones with 3GB RAM: itel Vision 1
In February 2020, the itel Vision 1 was released with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It ran Android 9, had a 4000mAh battery, and was powered by a Unisoc A55 processor. The Vision 1 was targeted at Asian markets like India, Pakistan, and the like.

In January 2022, itel released itel Vision 3. This itel smartphone had a 6.6-inch display, Android 11, 3 GB RAM, a Spreadtrum SC9863a processor, and 64 GB built-in memory, the last spec being a ground-breaking feature for an itel smartphone at the time. Again, being a Vision model, it was sold in Asian markets.

With a February 2023 release date, the A60 combines a 6.6-inch display with a Unisoc T606 processor, 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage memory, and a 4000mAh battery, among other specs. This particular model is targeted at markets like Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, and others in Africa. Asian countries might get the itel A60 rebadged as a Vision model; or they might not. Time will tell.
Last Words
itel smartphones with 3 GB RAM are some of the most advanced itel models around, expectedly. They offer better performance compared to other itel models, as well as more advanced network support. I won’t be surprised if the first 5G itel phone is one with 3 GB RAM, though I suspect it will likely be one of the first itel phones with 4GB RAM instead.
If you are hunting for itel phones with 3GB RAM in 2023, the Vision 3 series phones are recent enough to still be found on sale, assuming you are in one of the target markets. The very latest is itel A60, released in February 2023, and you should not have any problems getting your hands on one all year round.
