Xiaomi Redmi 13C Review

The Redmi 12C has been such a success that immediately I heard of its successor, the 13C, I was immediately interested in doing a Xiaomi Redmi 13C review.

We did get our hands on one and now have that review for you. To give you a good view of the phone, we did a comparative review with its predecessor, and you can watch that in the video below.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C vs Redmi 12C Comparison Review

Performance & Benchmark Scores

Our review unit is the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It runs really smoothly.

If benchmark test scores matter to you, we gave the Geekbench 6 app a spin on the Redmi 13C and got the following results:

  • Single-core score: 413
  • Multi-core score: 1130

For context, these scores are below the 444 single-core and 1542 multi-core scores we got on the itel S23+. The S23+ runs smoothly and so does the Redmi 13C. Lower mid-range Android smartphones have come of age and offer really smooth performance now. As I have said before, most people will do just fine with one of these budget phones.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C review: Verdict

Xiaomi Redmi 13C Review

The Redmi 13C is a beautiful and capable smartphone. By placing the specs and pricing a notch above the Redmi 12C, Xiaomi ensured that both devices can sell side-by-side one another – the 12C for people on a tighter budget, and the 13C for those who can afford to pay some more for better performance.

It performs better, looks better, and costs a little bit more, than the 12C. If money is not an issue, the Redmi 13C is a really good smartphone for the price. How much is it? The price for the lowest variant 4/128GB is ₦98,100, and the highest variant (8/256GB) goes for as high as ₦128,000.
