Samsung Mobile does not specify what version of Android it runs, only specifying “Go Edition”. However, a quick hands-on reveals that it runs Android 10 (Go Edition).

Like most other Samsung smartphones, this is a dual SIM phone and it uses the Nano-SIM standard, which has become the norm on most phones produced now.

It was released in Nigeria in September 2020.

Samsung Galaxy A3 Core Alternatives

If you would like to explore what other options are out there in Nigeri at a similar price, here are a few.

itel S16 offers the same 4G LTE, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, an 8MP triple rear camera, and a bigger screen – 6.5 inches, as well as a bigger 4000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It sounds like a better package and costs just ₦31,000, just a little less than the Samsung.

For a little more, you get a 6.1″ display, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 4G LTE, a fingerprint scanner, and a 3000mAh battery on the itel S15 Pro. That will set you back by ₦34,000.

There are a few other models from Nokia and TECNO, but they lack one or two key features found on these itel models. As such, these are the key competitors and alternatives to Samsung Galaxy A3 Core in the Nigerian market.
