Xiaomi is giving the entry-level Android market a shot again after a break from that segment since the Redmi Go in 2019. This time, they are tackling the cheap Android phone segment with two models, Redmi A1 and Redmi A1 Plus. They are essentially the same phone, but with differences in RAM and fingerprint sensor. The A1 Plus has a rear fingerprint sensor, something that is lacking on the A1.
Also, being entry-level phones, Xiaomi has left out their custom skin, MIUI, from these two models. So what you get is stock Android Go. Not having MIUI means less bloatware and less work for the system resources to do. This should translate to a smoother user experience on both devices. Lastly, both of them are 4G LTE phones.
