Innoson Vehicles boosts ambulance production in fight against COVID-19

In response to increased need around the country due to the outbreak of the COVID-19  pandemic, Innoson Vehicles Nigeria say they have channelled their manpower to increase their capacity for the production of medical ambulances. 

The Nigerian automobile manufacturer is rolling out ambulances at a faster pace to meet supplies. Nigeria’s two largest cities have been under lock-down for weeks now, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. The company has also made an ambulance donation to the Anambra State government in eastern Nigeria to support relief operations in the Nnewi region of the state.

In related news, the Federal Government of Nigeria says it has opened talks with Innoson and others to explore the possibilitiy of manufacturing ventilators in the country.

Innoson Vehicles kicked off operations in 2014 from its manufacturing plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, and sources about 70% of its materials locally. The rest are imported into the country.
