Gionee K6 is an interesting smartphone. There are no real competitors that offer its major specs – 6.2″ display, Helio P60, 6GB and 8GB RAM, 128GB and 256GB storage, and a 4350mAh battery – at the same price bracket of $122 to $155. The prices are simply hard to beat.

But on the flip side, the software is horribly old. Android 7.1 Nougat was released in 2017, and having it on a 2020 smartphone just rubs off wrong on those in the know. There are many interested buyers who do not care about dated software, and this phone will be a delight to them, but if you care about up-to-date software, you will find it hard to spend on the K6.
