Best Xiaomi phones under ₦100,000: Ultimate Guide

There are currently four Xiaomi phones under ₦100,000 naira in Nigeria, and they exist under the Redmi brand. Redmi is the budget range of Xiaomi smartphones. Redmi phones are known for their affordable prices, high performance, and long battery life. You should buy a Redmi phone if you are looking for a quality smartphone that does not break the bank.

If, for some reason, you want a Xiaomi phone without the Redmi label, you have to be prepared to spend upwards of ₦500,000 to get one. Have a look at the Xiaomi 14, for example. That’s a pricey smartphone.

List of Xiaomi phones under ₦100,000

They are the Xiaomi Redmi 12C, Redmi A3, Redmi A2 Plus, and Redmi A2. What do you get with each of them?

The Xiaomi Redmi Redmi 12C is the most capable and the most expensive Xiaomi phone under ₦100,000. It has a larger display, a higher resolution main camera, a more powerful processor, and more memory. It has also been updated with Xiaomi’s latest graphical user interface, HyperOS (that’s a YouTube video I did reviewing the Xiaomi Redmi 12C with HyperOS).

The Redmi A2 and the A2 Plus are essentially the same device, with one major difference. The two of them look exactly the same and are of the same size. They have the same features. There is one major difference between them – the A2 does not have a fingerprint scanner, while the A2 Plus does. Other than that, the A2 Plus offers some higher memory options. That’s the difference.

March 2024 update: With the announcement of the Redmi A3, it joins our list of Xiaomi phones under ₦100,000. It has most specs shared with the Redmi A2 and A2 Plus – same processor, same battery size and charging speed, and similar camera specs. But it has a beautiful, striking design, a bigger screen with 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass protection.

Now, let’s look at the specs of each of these foir Xiaomi phones under ₦100,000 distinctly and in details.

Xiaomi Redmi 12C

The 3GB RAM + 64GB variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 12C costs ₦86,000 at the time of this article.

The 4GB RAM + 18GB variant costs ₦96,000.

The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant of the Redmi 12C costs ₦99,600 and may cross the ₦100,000 mark soon.

The 3GB RAM + 64GB variant costs ₦94,000 at the time of this article.

The 2GB RAM + 32GB variant of the Redmi A2 Plus costs about ₦80,000 at the time of this article, though it is quite hard to find. Your best bets for finding one are Jiji, Jumia, and Konga.
