OPPO A55 5G Launched With 5,000mAh Battery, Triple Rear Cameras

OPPO A55 5G has launched in China as the newest 5G smartphone from the company. This device joins the A53 (which launched in 2020) in the A-series and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is paired to 6GB of RAM. It also packs a powerful 5,000mAh battery and three rear cameras in its back panel.

The OPPO A55 5G launched with the Android 11-based ColorOS 11 and features a 6.50-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD display with a waterdrop notch for the front camera. It also has a 60Hz refresh rate and an 88.7 screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset keeps this device ticking and is hooked to 6GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the A55 5G boasts a triple-rear camera setup with a 13MP main sensor, an 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP portrait sensor. Up front, an 8MP selfie camera with shooting modes including Portrait, Panorama, Night Scene, and AI takes care of video call responsibilities and selfies.

The OPPO A55 5G launched with a powerful 5,000mAh battery pack that is sufficient to keep this phone powered all day. It is priced at CNY 1,599 ($246) for its lone 6GB+128GB variant. It is available in two different colour options, Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black.
