The Honor V40 5G has launched just days after a number of renders leaked revealing some of this smartphone’s specs. This smartphone features an expansive 6.72” OLED display with dual selfie cameras and a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC under the hood.
The Honor V40 5G launched with the Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 11 and is built around a large 6.72-inch full-HD+ (1,236×2,676 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC chipset is hooked to 8GB of RAM and offers up to 256GB of onboard storage.
In the camera department, it boasts a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a laser autofocus sensor. Up front, a 16MP lens is assisted by a Time of Flight (ToF) lens that takes care of video call responsibilities and selfies.
The Honor V40 5G launched with a decent 4,200mAh battery pack that supports fast charging at 66W, it also supports wireless charging at 50W.
The Honor V40 5G is available in two variants, an 8GB/128GB model which costs $556 and the higher end 8GB/256GB model which costs $617. It launched in Rose Gold, Titanium Silver and Magic Night Black colours. This device launches in China today and is expected in a number of other regions going forward
