Mobility Smart Ownership is a programme that is open to every member of the Mobility Nigeria community. It is targeted at Mobilistas who live on the cutting edge of smartphones and gadgets and want to save some money from purchasing the latest devices in the market.

Through the Mobility Smart Ownership programme, interested mobilistas are able to purchase devices (phones, smartwatches, tablets, and mobile accessories) at 85% of the market prices. How does this happen?

How Mobility Smart Ownership Works

You order for a newly released smartphone that we have not reviewed yet but are interested in reviewing. You can even specify the retailer you want the phone purchased from. Then you pay 85% of the price of the phone to Mobility Nigeria.
Mobility Nigeria adds the 15% balance and purchases the phone and reviews it for four (4) days.
On the 5th day, Mobility Nigeria ships the open box phone for delivery to you.

Example, you can order a phone that costs ₦300,000, and pay only ₦255,000 to us. We add ₦45,000 to that and buy the phone, then review it for 4 days. On the 5th day, we send the phone to you via delivery/courier. Delivery within Lagos is free. Delivery to locations outside Lagos will attract a fee.

Terms of engagement

This Mobility Smart Ownership is valid for only one device at a time.

The offer is also valid for only new release phones that we have not reviewed and that we are interested in reviewing.

Mobility Nigeria reserves the right to not provide this service if the phone requested does not meet these terms.

I am new to Mobility Nigeria and I don’t quite trust you yet; what can I do?

This service works on the basis of trust and we expect that those new to Mobility Nigeria will likely have concerns, and that is valid. All we can ask you to do is hang around and observe till you are convinced that we are trustworthy before you jump in on this service.

Yes, that sucks if you want a phone now at a discounted price. But give it time and see what our long-term community members who have done business with us over time have to say after they have used this service. We can’t wait to serve you too!

Do you get a receipt for the product?

Yes, you do. When we make the purchase of the device, it will be in your name. We will hand over the original receipt of purchase to you at the point of delivery. This also will serve as proof of the date that we purchased the phone and that it was purchased brand new.

What if something happens to the phone during the review, will I get a refund?

Yes. If the phone gets damaged, it becomes ours and you get a full refund. In over 15 years of reviewing devices, though, we have never damaged one during the review period, so we doubt this will ever happen.

If after the phone gets to me, it develops an issue, is there warranty cover?

By default, we buy only phones that are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. That means you can take up any problems with the phone to the manufacturer for official support. If a phone you order for is not officially on sale and supported in Nigeria, we will notify you at the point of order that you are 100% responsible for any issues or problems with the phone.
