Like we did with the 8GB RAM budget smartphones above, we will count up from the most affordable to the most expensive of the list.
Infinix S5
Infinix S5 has two variants – one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The higher variant, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is the one that makes this list: What does it offer?

It has a nice, compact 6.15-inch IPS display and is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor. Internal storage is 128GB. There are variants with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM. The 6GB RAM variant has a price tag of ₦90,000.
There is a 48MP triple camera at the back and a 24MP selfie camera in front. The battery capacity is 3340mAh and there is 18W quick charging to go with it.
Xiaomi Note 8 Pro
Xiaomi Note 8 Pro brings a 6.53″ IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to the game. It packs the powerful Mediatek Helio G90T chipset, making it one of the most powerful models on this page. RAM is 6GB. There is a version with 64GB, but this list is concerned with the 128GB variant, which will set you back by ₦90,000.
Other features include a 64MP quad camera, a 20MP selfie camera, and a a 4500mAh battery coupled with 18W fast charging.
Huawei Y9s
We have another model from Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei, on this list of the best budget smartphones of 2019. The Huawei Y9s has a big 6.59-inch IPS display. It is powered by the competent Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor and 6GB RAM. As is common to this list, internal storage is 128GB.
The rear camera is a 48 MP triple camera, while the selfie camera is a motorized pop-up 16MP shooter. There is a 4000 mAh battery, coupled with a basic 10W fast charging.
Huawei Y9s sells for ₦98,000.
Nokia 7.2
HMD Global’s Nokia 7.2 has a body that is made of a high-tech polymer composite that the company says is double the strength of regular polycarbonate, but half the weight of aluminium. The IPS LCD, 2.5D display has Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 is 6.3” in size and supports HDR10.
Powering the phone is a dated but fairly capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 6GB RAM. We wish HMD Global had gone with a more recent processor. Internal storage is 128GB.
At the back is a triple camera with Zeiss optics, while in front is a 20MP ZEISS camera. Battery capacity is 3,500mAh and you get a slowish 10W quick charging to go with it. In addition, the Nokia 7.2 offers 2 years of Android version updates and 3 years security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A70
Samsung Galaxy A70 2019 is a 6GB RAM phone that takes us above the ₦100,000 price mark. It offers a massive 6.7 inches Super AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint scanner, a decent Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage, a 32 MP triple camera, 32MP selfie camera, a massive 4500 mAh battery and super-fast 25W quick charging.
We think the Galaxy A70 is worth every naira of its ₦115,000 price tag.
Xiaomi Mi 9T

OPPO F11 Pro
OPPO F11 Pro comes to the table with a 6.53″ display, a decent Mediatek Helio P70 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB internal storage. The selfie camera is a motorized pop-up 16MP unit. At the back is a 48MP dual camera and a fingerprint scanner.
