Priced below ₦150,000, Xiaomi Redmi A3 Pro is bigger and more powerful

Compared to the Redmi A3 released in February 2024, Xiaomi Redmi A3 Pro had a bigger display, more capable processor, and a better camera.

The Redmi A3 Pro smartphone was announced and released in October 2024. It features a 6.88-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra processor, a 5160 mAh battery, and a dual camera system. And instead of Android 14 Go Edition, it runs full Android 14.

The Helio G81 Ultra chipset in the Redmi A3 Pro is about 50% more powerful. The battery capacity scores an improvement too, at 5160mAh. And the rear camera is now a 50MP shooter, up from 8MP. The bigger display still has a 720p resolution, though. 1080p would have been nice.

The Redmi A3 Pro retains the refined and stylish design of its non-Pro sibling, and also the dot drop notch for the selfie camera, and the side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes in three colors: Midnight Black, Olive Green, and Lake Blue. As a matter of fact, the two are identical twins.
