In August 2020, Xiaomi scraps the next smartphone in its Android One list, Xiaomi Mi A4, and announces that it is leaving the Android One programme. The Mi A3 becomes the last Xiaomi Android One phone.
This leaves Nokia as the only player fully vested in the Android one programme. Motorola and Lenovo smartphones have not been released running full stock Android OS, but with some tweaks here and there.

The Android One project is still very much alive, championed mainly by HMD Global, which has embraced it for all their smartphones. This means that all current Nokia smartphones, including their cheap entry-level Android phones, run a near-stock Android experience and get up to 2 years software updates.
