Infinix S5 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 9: Where the S5 Has the Edge
The S5 is a cheaper option with a larger display than its rival, making it a solid pick for mobile gamers or users who want to catch their favourite movies or sports event on the go.
It also boasts four rear cameras with decent-looking specs, while a selfie shooter with better looking specs (32MP shooter) takes care of selfies and video calls.
The S5 has more RAM than its rival and offers a similar onboard storage configuration as the Note 9.
Infinix S5 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 9: Where the Note 9 Has the Edge
The Note 9 brings a display with a better screen resolution than its rival, while it also has a sleeker, more compact design than its rival.
It has a processor with decent speeds, and offers a newer Android OS than its rival, with the MIUI 12 on top. In the photography department, it offers quad cameras (much like the S5) with a higher main camera spec than its rival. However, figures may not really do justice to a camera comparison and so it may not be entirely correct to believe this device offers a better photography experience than its rival.
The Note 9 has a stronger batter with a 5,020mAh rating that charges at 18W and it also offers more external storage than its rival.
Infinix S5 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 9: Who Comes Out Tops In This Battle?
Both devices have great processors, boast decent camera specs, support 4G technology and offer durable batteries. The Note 9 is a solid option and should be your pick if you are on the hunt for a device that offers wonderful mid-range specs. It has a smaller display but boasts decent cameras and has a newer Android OS, while also fielding a stronger battery and offering more external memory.
The S5 shares quite a number of characteristics with its rival on the day, as they both have similar onboard storage and similar camera configurations. The S5 is a slightly cheaper option, older smartphone option and should be a good pick for users who do not want to spend above ₦65,000.
At the end of the day, the newer Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 wins this mid-range battle in spite of its higher price and is the better device on this day.
