The Redmi brand is a budget brand separate from the Xiaomi brand. One of the distinguishing factors is that while Xiaomi models have featured AMOLED displays, Redmi devices have made do with LCD displays.
That has changed now, as Redmi Note devices are getting AMOLED screens for the first time, with the arrival of the Redmi Note 10 series.
The first Redmi smartphone to feature an AMOLED display is the Redmi Note 10. It will sport a Super AMOLED screen. Other members of the Redmi Note 10 series include Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. All of them are expected to be announced this March 2021.
AMOLED displays tend to pack a heavier punch and offer deeper contrasts, especially with black colour. They are also more expensive. As such, lovers of the Redmi Note may expect to pay higher prices for their favourite devices.
