Which Android phones support eSIM? The Hot List

Posted by

Smartphones that support eSIM have been around for some years. eSIM technology is clearly the future of network connectivity in smartphones. Already in the US, all iPhones sold in that country are eSIM-only. In all other countries, iPhones support both nano SIM and eSIM.

What of Android phones? That’s a more complicated scenario, considering that there are scores of Android phone brands. The leading ones support eSIM in their premium flagship and upper midrange devices. But at the entry-level and lower midrange, eSIM support is mising. This will change eventually and all smartphones will eventually support eSIM.

It is important to know, though, that some Android phone brands do not have eSIM phones at all till now. Below, I list brands that have eSIM phones and those that don’t.

How to activate eSIM in Android phones

In the meantime, I have used eSIM in a number of phones, including Apple iPhone SE 2022 and Samsung Galaxy S23, and both on the MTN network.
