The Sony Xperia 5 II, currently known as the best gaming phone on the planet, is one of the flagship Xperia series manufactured by Sony. It was announced on the 17 September, 2020. It is a cheaper and more compact variant of the previously released Sony Xperia 5 II. The phone was released on the 12th October, 2020.
This phone right here is a show-stopper when it comes to gaming, and I mean that in every sense of the world. If you are looking for the best mobile gaming experience, be it for Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG, Clash of clans, whatever it might be, this is your phone.
How Sony have been able to manufacture something that seems almost perfect is brainstorming to be honest. You will understand why in a minute as i take you through these specs.
Compatible networks
- 2G
- 3G
- 4G
- 4G LTE
- 5G
- WiMAX 2+
With this phone you don’t have to worry about not having a particular one of these because you can just make do with whatever you have. Although if you want the best experience for gaming (especially for Call of Duty: Mobile) I suggest you use 4G as 5G is not out yet in the country and neither is WiMAX 2+.
Dimensions
- 158 mm x 68 mm x 8 mm
As you can tell it’s not the largest phone, it is quite compact as stated earlier for comfort and better grip. It is very thick in depth though, but it is manageable and sometimes you will not even feel the thickness when playing because it is so light.

You see the processors of this crazy phone right there? You will never enjoy a better gaming experience on any other phone like you will on the Sony Xperia 5 II. Lag free, smooth, efficient cooling system, and so many more. This is a must get if you ask me. This is one the few phones on my list that I want to play games on (obviously).

- 256 GB
Removable storage

Battery
- Non-removable Li-ion 4000 mAh
USB PD 3.0 21W Charging
I think when Sony was working on the battery of this phone, they put in mind the addicted Call of Duty/ PUBG gamers that play for hours nonstop. This battery here will see you through long hours of heavy duty activity.
The 21W charging is one of my favorites. I could drop the game and go eat, and in thirty minutes I am back to a well charged phone, and ready to get back on the game or whatever else I would do on it.

As you probably have been able to deduce from all of this, the Sony Xperia 5 II is not your everyday random phone but rather the opposite. The mouth watering phone comes in the beautiful colors of Gray, Blue, Black and Pink. The phone costs N364,800.
Although, the phone has not been released in Nigeria. The availability of the device in the country is in the works. If you want a gaming phone that can do almost anything that your high end phones can do, the Sony Xperia 5 II is your guy.
