MTN Binge plans were designed for the media junkie who loves to streaming their favourite series and movies at the least possible cost.
However, these plans are also perfect for the person who needs to carry out a heavy download of upload. Perhaps you are a YouTuber who has a heavy video file to upload.
Or perhaps your smartphone manufacturer has released a software update that is quite large and you need to download and install it. MTN Binge Bundles should work just as fine.
Features of MTN Binge Plans
There are currently two MTN Binge plans or bundles available for you to pick from. Both of them offer large data volumes at a low cost. But what is the catch? There is always a catch; right? Nothing goes for nothing.
In this case, the data is available for you to use within just a few days. It would be nice to be able to get 7GB for ₦2,000 for 30 days; right? Instead, you get it for just 7 days.
Also, it would be fabulous to get 2.5GB for ₦600 for 30 days, but with an MTN Binge bundles, your validity period is just 2 days. That’s the catch: short validity periods.
The whole idea of bingeing, whether it is food or data, is that of indulging extensively for a short period.
Here are the two Binge Plans from MTN Nigeria:
- 7GB for ₦2,000, with 7-day validity period.
- 2.5GB for ₦600, with 2-day validity period.
How to subscribe to MTN Binge Plans
MTN Nigeria says there are two options for activating these Binge bundles:
- By USSD short code: Dial *312*1# on your phone. The 2.5GB plan is listed under Daily Plans, while the 7GB plan is listed under Weekly Plans. Methinks MTN ought to have given them their own category called “Binge Plans”. That way, they are easy to find.
- Login to the MyMTN NG app. I have checked and searched the app and couldn’t find them there. I may have looked in the wrong places or I am subscribed to a plan that does not give me access to them, so do check.

Seems like everybody should simply shift to patronizing data resellers. Their offerins make better prudence than these particular direct plans from MTN.
You can get better offerings than this, both on terms of expiry (30 days) and volume of data (260/GB).
Not sure there are only two binge plans by MTN unless they are the ones calling only these two that. There’s a plan for 5GB at NGN500 with an hour validity and a 10GB at NGN1000 also with an hour validity. These in my view are more worthy of the Binge title than the ones referenced in the article. And finally there’s also a NGN800 for 3GB plan for 2 days.
MTN lists only these above two plans as Binge Plans on their website.
