Infinix Hot 40 sits in the middle of the Hot 40 series, made up of three phones. All the phones in the series run XOS 13 based on Android 13, and come with a 5,000 mAh battery, as well as a software feature called Xboost gaming engine to better optimize the hardware during gaming, and are all 4G smartphones.
Infinix Hot 40 sports a 1080p 6.78″ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, 5000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging.
Like all recently released models, Infinix has implemented Magic Ring in the Hot 40. Magic Ring is the company’s take on Dynamic Island for notifications when the phone is unlocked, plugged in to charge, or during a call.
For photography, we have the same 32 MP selfie camera in a punch hole in front, but the camera is a 50 MP main camera supported by a 2MP macro lens, and an “AI cam” at the back.
In terms of build materials, both the frame and back panel are made of plastic. Like the other models, it is available in four colours, namely: Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, and Starfall Green.
The Hot 40 comes in two memory configurations – 8/128GB and 8/256GB internal storage. The recommended retail price of the 8/256GB variant is ₦168,000. It is expected to be available at stores like Pointek, Slot, Finet, 3CHub, and Swot, among others.
