The Thinnest Phones Of 2025: Which of these super slim devices are you buying?

2025 is shaping up to be the year of super slim or super thin phones on the global smartphone market. Every Apple, Samsung, and Infinix are struggling to announce and release smartphones that are super slim. I figured it would be fun to compile the list of the thinnest phones of 2025 for your convenience.

That way, if you have been bitten by the bug, or you are just curious, you Cana keep track of all of the thinnest phones being released this year.

RedMagic 10 Air

RedMagic 10 Air was announced in April 2025 with a slim design that is 7.85 mm thin. As a gaming smartphone with a top-end chipset, RedMagic managed to fit in a hefty 6,000 mAh battery in that slim body. Amazing.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

The next of the super slim phones to hit the market is Samsung’s S25 Edge, and it comes in at 5.8mm thickness. It was announced in May 2025. As expected, it sacrificed battery capacity and ended up with a 3900mAh battery. You can read more about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

The next of the thinnest phones of 2025 coming after the Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+. Leaks say it is already in production in May 2025 and so the launch will likely happen sometime in June or July.

This one is said to have a 5.95 mm thin design. That brings it close to the profile of the S25 Edge and makes it one of the thinnest phones you can buy this year.

Apple iPhone 17 Air

The iPhone 17 Air is going to be a really long wait, because we are not expecting it to arrive till September 2025. Leaks say it will arrive with a 5.5 mm thick design – and a terribly small battery capacity of 2800mAh. Get your power banks ready, if buying one.

Infinix Hot 50 Pro+

This is a honourary mention of some sort, in the sense that it wasn’t released in 2025. Instead, it arrived earlier in October 2024 with a 6.8 mm thin design. That makes Infinix a pioneer of this trend.

TECNO Spark Slim

Let’s also not forget that TECNO showcased a concept phone, the Spark Slim with a 5.75 mm thickness and managed to pack in a solid 5200mAh battery in it. Surely, Samsung could have done better than 3900mAh on the S25 Edge and Apple should definitely be able to do waaaaay better than 2800mAh.

One thing that Samsung and Apple need to learn from TECNO is how they fit in a 5200mAh battery in a body that thin. Whoever thought that the big boys would have something to learn from TECNO and Infinix?

Unfortunately, you can’t buy the TECNO Spark Slim, because, as already mentioned, it is a concept phone. But there is a high chance that we will see a commercially available super slim TECNO smartphone on this list before the year runs out. The Spark Slim would have been a great addition.

I have deliberately left out foldable devices from this list, as they belong in a class of their own. I will continue to update this list with super slim regular phones that join the ranks of the thinnest phones released in 2025.
