OPPO Reno 3 Pro vs Samsung A71: Where The A71 Has The Edge
Samsung’s gladiator, the Galaxy A71 has a larger display, and so those who love their phone screens really big will want to have that. Plus, it is a Super AMOLED display. Everybody loves those punchy AMOLED screens. In addition, the screen has a layer of Gorilla Glass 3+ on it for protection from scratches and falls.
The problem is that the Reno3 Pro also has a Super AMOLED display and a more recent version of Gorilla Glass – v5. So, it is difficult to say that the Samsung has a better display. We can only say that it has a bigger display. So, a point for display size it is.
Once we move to the processor, though, Samsung Galaxy A71 edges forward comfortably. We will take the Snapdragon 730 chipset over the Reno3 Pro’s Helio P95 any day. The Snapdragon wins hands down.
Lastly, the Galaxy A71 has a much bigger battery – 4500mAh against its opponent’s 4025mAh unit. While the OPPO has faster charging, the difference isn’t that much. We will take a beefier battery over that.

Yet, we know that camera performance tends to be unpredictable wiithout an actual shootout between two devices, so we shall not count this.
The base model of the Reno3 Pro, which has 8GB RAM, against the Samsung’s base model, which has 6GB RAM, costs about $40 less than the Samsung, helping to tilt the scales in OPPO’s favour.
OPPO Reno 3 Pro vs Samsung A71: The Verdict
We are staying off the camera performance of these two gladiators. We do not have hands-on tests to arrive at conclusions about them.
In terms of raw performance, Samsung Galaxy A71 wins this comparison. OPP Reno3 Pro is a solid performer; unfortunately for it, Samsung Galaxy A71 just has a much more powerful processor.
In most other things, the two devices are fairly well-matched. The differences in pricing makes sense for both though. OPPO Reno3 Pro costs less. If you want the raw power of the Galaxy A71, you pay more.
