The ZTE Blade A35 was announced and released in October 2024 as an entry-level Android smartphone with an 80 Euro price tag. Here in Nigeria, it is currently on sale at Konga with a ₦68,400 price tag. Which makes it kind of a big deal.
That discounted price from a regular price of over ₦100,000 is what makes it really sweet. This makes it the most affordable smartphone we have seen in recent times. being a 2024 device, it is not one of the latest smartphones in the market now, but it is not exactly dated. If you are looking for an affordable smartphone, it is something you should consider.
The key specs include a UNISOC SC9863A1 chipset and MyOS 14 based on Android 14 (Go Edition). It supports 2G, 3G, and 4G networks and has a 6.75-inch, 720p IPS LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate.
The version of the ZTE Blade A35 being sold on Konga has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. We observed that only 39GB is available after bootup. System files and apps use up a whopping 25GB. That is crazy, really, but it is what it is. Also, there is up to 8GB extended RAM to support the built-in 4GB RAM.
As we are known to do, we got our hands on one to unbox and review. The model we got is the Clover Green option – and we believe it is the better-looking colour scheme. The other option is the Starry Black option.
Keeping the lights on in the Blade A35 is a decent 5000mAh battery. For charging, all you have is 10W, which is not bad for the price. The included charging brick is a 10W unit as well, so ZTE has you covered.

The retail box includes the phone itself, a paper user guide, a transparent silicon case, wired earpiece, USB cable, and a power brick.
