I don’t know if it appeals to only me, but it seems like Xiaomi is at war with the unknown, because the crazy phones and flagships they keep giving us just set the bar up so high. Want to know what I’m talking about? It’s the Xiaomi MI 10T, of course.

Xiaomi MI 10T

The device is one of Xiaomi’s latest flagships, and awesome one at that too. People, Xiaomi is here to stay. I loved what they did with this series and im sure you are going to love it to, in a minute. It was announced on the 30 September, 2020 and released on the 13 October, 2020.

  • Dimensions: Height: 165.1mm
    Width: 76.4mm
    Thickness: 9.33mm
    Weight: 216g (Mi 10T)

The size and thickness of the Xiaomi MI 10T are just perfect. Quite large and comfortable with the ability to do any task you want easily whether for work, entertainment, games and the likes. The phones size won’t hinder any of those, rather it will make them so much easier to do and experience.

  • Battery:
    5000mAh (typ)*/4900mAh (min) high-capacity battery
    33W wired fast charge
    33W fast charger in-box
    USB-C reversible connector port

That is a pretty powerful battery Xiaomi has going on there, with a really fast charge time to match, giving you hours of undisturbed and uninterrupted use to maximise consumer satisfaction. Who doesn’t love a good battery phone, and on that charges quite fast too?

  • Memory: 6 or 8 GB RAM LPDDR5  + UFS 3.1 Flash Storage
  • Storage: 128 GB

The Xiaomi MI 10T has an impressive memory but less so for the storage. It is a little disappointing to get just 128 GB of storage space. At least 256 or even 512 GB is what I expected from this flagship phone. Although 256 GB can be gotten in the MI 10T Pro.

  • Operating System: Android 10, MIUI 12

A flagship phone of this magnitude should at least come with the newly implemented Android 11, it does have the MIUI 12, and the Android 10 is still viable. One just expects some certain top class features from some types of flagship phones as this one.

  • System on chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 865 with 5G
  • CPU: Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 585)
  • GPU: Adreno 650

With the Xiaomi MI 10T, you get nothing but the best processors. Watching videos, streams, shows and gaming have never felt so good. Top frag graphics, with speedy processors and that 5G (when it does get to Nigeria) will be mind blowing. Hopefully, our horrible networks will not be able to find a way to make 5G suck.

  • Display: 144 hz 6.67″ dot display
  • Resolution: 2400 x 1080 FHD+
    Supports AdaptiveSync in 30Hz/48Hz/50Hz/60Hz/90Hz/120Hz/144Hz
Color gamut: NTSC 96% (typ), DCI-P3 98% (typ)
    TrueColor display: JNCD≈0.39 Delta E≈0.63
    Supports MEMC
    Reading mode 3.0
    Sunlight display 3.0
    360° ambient light sensor
Brightness: 500 nits (typ), 650 nits max brightness (typ)
    HDR10

I want to ask Xiaomi a question. Why 144 hz??? All one needs to have literally the best experience possible is 90-120hz and you’re more than ready to light things up, but Xiaomi said, “nah” we can take it much further than that.

Imagine playing CODM, PUBG, NBA 2k, e.t.c. with 144 hz? Mind blowing stuff honestly. That’s a “yessir” for me, I’m sure the same goes for you too.

  • Rear Camera: 64 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), 1/1.73″, 0.8µm, PDAF
    13 MP, f/2.4, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1.12µm
    5 MP, f/2.4, (macro), AF
  • 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240/960fps; gyro-EIS
  • LED Flash, panorama, HDR

  • Front Camera: 20 MP, f/2.2, 27mm (wide), 1/3.4″, 0.8µm
  • 1080p@30fps, 720p@120fps

It is not a new thing that Xiaomi phone  cameras are exceptional. With the Xiaomi MI 10T, taking perfect pictures has never been easier. According to them, you don’t even need to be a professional to take beautiful and captivating pictures.

  • Supported Networks: 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE, 5G
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot
  • NFC
  • GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS

Xiaomi MI 10T

  • Sensors: Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer

The Xiaomi MI 10T, in all, is a brilliant flagship phone that deserves all the praise it gets, save for some very minor exclusions and disappointments. It is definitely a phone you would want to have at your beck and call. It goes for anything from N165,000 to N180,000, depending on the exchange rate. Quite a bargain for a phone this good, so be sure to get yourself one when it does land in Nigeria, as you can not get the phone on platforms here for now.
