Xiaomi, be it from the main brand, or sub-brands (Redmi, POCO), has always found a way to keep consumers, at different economical levels, satisfied. My last Xiaomi article was about the POCO X3 NFC, and it is an amazing gaming/multi purpose phone that keeps you glued to your phone screen.

Well, here comes Xiaomi’s POCO with their latest reveal. The Xiaomi POCO M3. An Android based budget phone that will sweep you off your feet with it’s wonderful features. It was announced on the 24th of November, 2020 and released three days later on the 27th.

Xiaomi POCO M3

  • Dimensions: 162.3 x 77.3 x 9.6 mm
  • Mass: 198g

The POCO M3 is quite large, standing at just under 6’6 inches, which is lovely to be honest. It is not heavy to hold in any way, almost perfect to be frank.

  • Operating system: Android 10, MIUI 12

As is common with most brands and their OS type, they constantly update and manufacture their new phones with their latest OS. The POCO M3 has the beautiful features and colors of the MIUI 12.

  • System on chip: Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662

One of the reasons why I love the PICO aspect do Xiaomi, is because of their ability to make you feel amazing when playing games. It’s almost as though the phone was made for gaming alone. POCO were able to incorporate the Qualcomm snapdragon 662. Gaming has never felt better on a budget phone.

  • CPU:Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver)

  • GPU: Adreno 610

The POCO M3 has beautiful graphics for gaming and entertainment in general. Good graphics are a must have, especially for mobile gamers. That’s what the POCO M3 has given us, dope graphics that you can get on phones that cost way more than this one.

  • Storage: 64GB, 128 GB LPDDR4X + UFS 2.2

  • Memory: 4GB, 6GB

Of course for a budget phone, those storage stats are perfect. I personally wasn’t expecting anything more than that. Plus you can still get more than enough work done with that space.

  • Battery: 6000mAh, USB-C  reversible connector port
    Supports 18W fast charging
    22.5W fast charger in-box

Look at that, pure love at first sight. A 6000mAh battery, for a phone like this? With 22.5W charging too? Nah, now that’s just insane. I mean, WHAT?  Easily one of the best (if not the best) features of the phone. That is over a day’s worth of battery power. Sign me up please.

The Xiaomi POCO M3’s display is quite impressive for the it’s class. Beautiful resolution with a standard refresh rate along with the infamous Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The POCO M3 is definitely one of the budget phones of the year. The phone was just released as you probably saw. So don’t worry, it will be here sooner than you think.

The price range is predicted to be from around N62,000 for the phone. A well deserved price if you ask me. If you are looking for an OP budget phone, the POCO M3 is one you should consider.
