Glo 4G now available on LTE band 3(1800) – Unconfirmed reports

Glo 4G LTE band 3

There are unconfirmed reports that Glo 4G is now also available on LTE Band 3(1800) at random locations in the country. The service had initially launched on the rare LTE band 28(700), which is not available on many smartphones. If this report turns out to be true, Glo 4G users and lovers will be ecstatic, as the hunt for smartphones that support band 28(700) can come to an end.

There has been no official statement from Globacom themselves, and there have been no independent verification of this news, so take it with a pinch of salt.

If you do experience it, do be kind and share with us in the comments section.

  1. I use a Redmi Note 5 Pro. My phone does not have Band 28

I can get Glo 4G in Lagos Island, Ikoyi and some parts of VI. I’ve been able to get that for over two months of retrying a Glo SIM again.

  2. I have a Nokia 1 that doesn’t have band 28 (previously was not connecting to Glo 4G) and now connects to Glo 4G in Ojota Lagos
