Software updates, support and other services for Symbian phones will continue till 2016

Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop, in a recent video published on Nokia Conversations, has said that software updates, support and other services for Symbian phones will continue “at least up to” 2016.

    Uptil 2016? Now, that is a very commendable gesture from Nokia.
    Microsoft on the other hand is halting all support for Windows Mobile by July 15th, 2011.
    But seroiusly, WinMo users have had more support from Xda Developers and Omarket over the years than from Microsoft, so we wont really miss them.
