Many of you have asked for it. Apparently, at least one of the four (4) GSM operators has listened (or capitulated, depending). Whatever! The important thing and the good news is that this particular operator will be announcing significantly lower mobile internet tariffs soon.

How soon? A matter of weeks, barring any delays. Of course, for the sake of your sanity, it may be better to assume that there will be a delay. Mobility Nigeria shall not be responsible for any cases of anxiety or related mental/emotional conditions arising from your waiting for the announcement of the new tariff/s.
Anyone wants to guess which network this is? First correct answer wins N500 airtime on any network of choice.

“Anyone wants to guess which network this is? First correct answer wins N500 airtime”
hypothetically, by the way, anyone can use 4 different names, AND predict EACH & ALL of the networks!
how are you going to tell?
all it takes is to be the first to post 4 times..!
unless you can check the ip address. wordpress offers such a facility?
i suggest such offer should be made to registered forum members only…

Well said. WordPress does check poster’s IP addresses, but even that can be circumvented too.
While registration does not eliminate the possibility of cheating, it does add some measure of verification. I agree with your suggestion.
Sorry guys, but only registered members are eligible. Beyond that, in your profile, ensure that your real name is entered in your profile, even if it is a nickname that you choose to display publicly.

It should be glo.
It makes sense doesn’t it guys. This coy has a submarine cable all to itself. It has the longest fiber optic cable network in the country, and its still growing. Just last month glo has been frantically connecting its base stations within and outside Abuja city with fiber. Its network is showing up as 3.5g after its workers fiddle with the cable and the BTS. And for a trivial reason; Glo needs to compensate for keeping its subscribers waiting so long for the cable as launch dates have moved dozens of times.
MTN are not known to be price friendly at all. Its alien to their corporate culture I guess. Etisalat and Zain have no capacity to carry extra data subscribers. If the prices are lowered on these two y’all better be moving off to another network.

If it is glo it would be nice for me cos i won’t have to go around with more than one phone again.
The only problem i had wit glo is that when i used it some months back for browsing it was very slow in my area (Ipaja, Lagos), I hope it’s now better.

it can never be mtn.that is a company that is very far from giving services at reasonable cost. do you guys remember when they told us per second billing wont be possible for like 3-4yrs then? only to lunch same immediately after glo made the service available.
My guess is glo. a neighbour of mine, their staff, actually told me last weekend that they will be intoducing new data products following the lunch of their glo 1 cable next month.
@mark. i happen to be using glo in your neighbourhood, ejigbo(around kila area) and my experience is a far cry from yours. I download at an average speed of 200kbps – 300kbps. and this can rise to like 500kbps at some nights when download 1gig movie within 40mins.

Well, I have learnt not to give myself high blood pressure over such issues. I only hope it’s either MTN or Etisalat because buying a third sim and phone to enjoy cheaper internet is totally out of it. After all I’m doing productive things with my current data with little complaints. If either of this two is not it, then market forces will force them to drop tariffs. Simple!

What Etisalat is offering is not available from anybody else so let us give them some credit for doing that. 20 naira daily access charge and you can opt in or out anytime.
If i have much calls to make I can opt in for that day and decide not to opt in for other days.
For the Lower Mobile Internet Tariffs a friend of mine just confirmed to me that its GLO.
