Video demonstration of Bada interface on Samsung Wave

Posted on 15 February 2010 by Mister Mobility

Samsung’s Bada mobile OS, announced just two months ago, is already being showcased, and the first Bada device is scheduled to be in the market by April. Samsung is amazing about how they announce and launch devices. Sony Ericsson could learn a thing or two from them.

The Samsung S8500 Wave is one screaming device – a gorgeous capacitive display, a 1GHz processor, 2GB or 8GB built-in memory, and a couple of firsts on any smartphone – Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-fi 802.11n.

The Wave also has an integrated has an integrated phonebook similar to what obtains on Palm WebOS. This means that the phonebook does not serve only as a place for contact information, but also Gmail, Facebook, IM all in one place.

While we wait with gadget-lust for launch date, here is a video demonstration of Bada OS user interface on the new Samsung Wave, courtesy of GSMArena.com:

This is a pre-production model but you can see that the 1GHz processor does a good job, and combined with the capacitive display, touchscreen functionality is fluid. The interface also looks intuitive. We sure are looking forward to giving it a go after production models hit the market in April.
