Glo Biiiig Dash discontinued

Posted on 09 December 2009 by Brymay Osah

I called Glo to enquire more about a new product, Digimails.

While waiting to speak to a Customer Care attendant, the hold voice prompter passed this info, amongst others:

“Dear customer, due to overwhelming migration of millions of subscribers to the Glo Big Dash package, many of whom engaged the network more than we anticipated, we are discontinuing this package for now. Not to worry, we will wow you with a new package very soon. Thank you for your patonage”globiigdash

The Customer Care attendant I spoke to also confirmed this. That’s it, folks. It is over!

I think they couldn’t handle the network congestion problems.

So, how is Etisalat coping with their own promo?Their offer is even more pocket friendly, so their network congestion should be worse than that of Glo. Something is fishy here…

It’s a shame on glo for introducing a package when they know fully well that majority of Nigerians are jobless and making free calls will get them busy. Glo network is not robust enough to handle the amount of calls made at a time. I know MTN and others will be laughing at globacom by now even though we know MTN has the most stingy network in this country. I’m waiting to see the WOW glo is promising Nigerians again. Wish them all the best.
